Together, they have ministered for more than 18 decades! Professional artist Dick Kane ‘49 has set up a website for his artwork after all these years! Robert Schwab‘63 shot a hole in one at Springdale at Cold Mountain playing with Bob Bell ‘57 . Lou Spiotti Jr. ‘64 , executive director of Intercollegiate Athletics at RIT, received The Albert J. Simone Legacy Award for his exemplary work and significant contributions to RIT over his 47 year career at the school. He recently announced he will retire this summer. Phil Terrana ’64 recently published his fifth book, The Life, Times & Adventures of Hoag Franklin: Indian Scout, Bu alo Hunter, Lawman & Vaudeville Entertainer. Bob Duffy ‘72 was named to the Rochester Business Journal’s Power 100 List 2021. Andrew Fornarola ’75 , Rochester Regional President, Evans Bank, was named to a listing of 11 “power players” in the Rochester region’s banking industry in the Rochester Business Journal. Mark Gionta ‘79 , President of Rochester Colonial, was featured in the December 2020 issue of the Rochester Business Journal . The article emphasized his attention to quality and innovation. Bob Russell ‘81 was named President & CEO of Rochester Hearing and Speech Center. Todd Battaglia ‘82 , CEO & President of MG&AWealth, was ranked #7 on the Forbes Best-In-StateWealth Advisors List 2021 for South Florida. Dave Reidman ‘82 was named to the Rochester Business Journal’s Power 100 List 2021. Dr. Paul Buechel ’83 published his first book, Rise and Soar . Ken Aponte ‘85 recently started a new role as Vice President of Customer Success at Copper, the world’s leading CRM for Google G-Suite. WilliamMaxcy ‘85 retired at the rank of Lieutenant in February 2021 after 25 years of service with the Virginia Beach Police Department. Williamworked in uniform patrol, training as an academy instructor, and the detective bureau. Alan J. Pecora ‘85, CPA, AEP®, Esq. was admitted as Partner at Insero & Co. CPAs, LLP. Dawn (Whalley) Sullivan ’85 was named Director Online Program Design for Roberts Weslyan College. Patrick Phelan ’87 recently retired as Chief of the Greece, NY Police Department, a position he has held since 2014. Pat will be named the new Executive Director of the NewYork State Association of Chiefs of Police. James Brennan ’88 , Managing Partner – Upstate NY, Deloitte LLP, was named to a listing of 11 “power players” in the Rochester region’s accounting industry in the Rochester Business Journal. Jim has been managing partner of Deloitte’s upstate NewYork marketplace, which includes Rochester and Buffalo, for three years. He is also the leader of the audit practice in the region, and serves as the Chairman of Aquinas’ Board of Trustees. Christine (Lopuchowycz) Grout ’88 has accepted a position as Director of Development for St. Ann’s Foundation in Rochester, NY. Since 2007, Christine has held several positions in the Alumni Office devoting her time and talents to alumni engagement and event planning. She also served as the costume designer for the AQ theatre department. Derek Annechino ‘89 was named the Week 1 Buffalo Bills and ADPRO Sports Coach of theWeek for the Rochester Region. Joe Alves ‘90 , Council President of Knights of Columbus 11411, was awarded both the Columbian Award and Founders Award for 2019-2020. Sara (Bergen) Nunez ‘92 was named Regional Executive Director of PACE Center for Girls, Broward. Thomas Verzillo ’94 was named principal of Holy Cross School in Rochester. Dena AlbertiWerner ‘95 married Chris Werner on July 4, 2020 at Ridgemont Country Club. TomDeGrave ’96 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of ENALAS, headquartered in Victor, NY. Michael Culotta ’98 , Deputy Regional Administrator, Federal Transit Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, was named to Mass Transit’s 40 Under 40, which recognizes outstanding young individuals making a difference in the public transit industry. Tara Berardi Masci ‘98 founded Goalkeeper Performance Training offering individual and small group soccer goalkeeper training sessions.
