In the midst of cheerleading, another championship story was unfolding. The Aquinas Varsity Girls Soccer Team captured the 2025 Section V Class A title, powering through an extraordinary postseason marked by skill, precision, and unshakeable determination. Led by Head Coach Adam Schwartz and Assistant Coaches William “Tad” Valentino ’94, P’25 and Emily Wolak ’18, the Lady Irish showcased a level of poise and toughness that carried them all the way to the New York State Championship game. Though their final match ended in a heartbreaking loss, their journey was anything but—every challenge won, every defensive stand, every goal scored was a testament to the team’s incredible chemistry and relentless spirit. “It was such an honor and a privilege to coach this brilliant, unique group of gi ed and talented players this year. In addition to being tremendous soccer players, our team was made up of exceptional human beings who demonstrated the highest character.
