Julie (Izzo) Niedzwick‘95 was inducted into Betta Gamma Sigma (BGS), the international business honor society, while completing her master’s degree at the Saunders School of Business at RIT. BGS membership is awarded to the top 10% of students in the top 5% of business schools worldwide. Congratulations to Shanna (Grant) Diep ’97, Founder/CEO of Strategic Logistics and Defense Services, LLC., on being named a 2025 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner in the $25 to $100 Million in Annual Revenues category. Shanna was also named to the list of fastest-growing women-owned businesses by the Women President’s Organization, for the second year in a row. Timothy Edin ’97 is an ordained minister, husband to Jami, and proud father of four—Jordan (15), Canaan (13), Levi (8), and Gideon (7). He currently serves as Senior Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Elkins, WV. Over the years, he has participated in mission work in Haiti, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, and France. Currently, he is actively involved in local outreach, helping feed the homeless and leading chapel services for diverse populations, including residents of a local assisted living facility. Reginald Amory IV ’04 came to campus to present the Naval Reserve Officers’Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship to senior Sean Clark. Sean will attend Cornell University in the fall, completing courses leading to a Baccalaureate degree, preparing to commission and serve as a U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps Officer. Congratulations to Matt Jones Jr. ’08 for being inducted into the Section V Football Hall of Fame (pictured with AQ Football Coach Chris Battaglia ’78). Congratulations to Benjamin Bostick ’09 on getting his NYS Master Barbers License. Congratulations to Jack Steger ’13 who was recognized as Rookie of the Year at St. Bonaventure University’s President’s Staff & Faculty Excellence Awards 2025. Dominic Arieno ’14 was named a Rising Star by Howard Hanna at their annual awards ceremony in recognition of his contributions to the Rochester real estate market. He continues to grow his career as a top-producing agent and remains dedicated to helping clients navigate the ever-changing housing landscape. Ian McLellan ’14 launched Mushroom Cloud Coffee, a veteran owned and operated company, blending premium coffee with powerful functional mushrooms to boost energy without the crash. Congratulations to Noah Ritzel ’15 and Andrea Stanchus ’15, high school sweethearts who began dating as seniors at Aquinas and were married on September 6, 2024. Victoria Perrello ’16 graduated with a Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nazareth University. She will be working at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES in Newark starting in fall 2025. Congratulations to Damon Burton Jr. ’17 for signing with the Fighting Farmers Montabaur in Germany’s Professional Football League. Michael Collins ’17 became a Black Hawk Medevac Pilot and achieved the rank of Captain. Congratulations to Jimar Cunningham ’17 who recently graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in May 2024 and successfully passed the February Uniform Bar Examination. He will soon be sworn into the State Bar of Michigan and begin his legal career as an Associate Attorney at Ven Johnson Law. Jalen Pickett ’17 finished his NBA season appearing in 49 regular season and eight playoff games for the Denver Nuggets. Michaela Conti ’20 is currently serving as a resident at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, owned and operated by fellow Aquinas alumni Mike ’85 and Dave‘87 Perotto, Jim LiVecchi ’87, and William Padulo ’85. In her full-time role, Michaela is dedicated to supporting grieving families and honoring the lives of those who have passed, carrying forward the values of compassion and service instilled during her time at Aquinas. Congratulations to Evan Affronti ’20 and Alexis Galusha ’22 on being St. Bonaventure University’s Impact Players of the Week in February 2025. Thank you to Brennan Callahan Stiles ’21, former President of the Aquinas Diversity Club, for returning to speak with current members about college life, leadership, and community engagement. Brennan is now a senior at the University of Rochester, majoring in public health, pursuing a pre-med track, and serving as a volunteer firefighter. Gavin Conlan ’21 was selected for the Second Team Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) All-Conference Team for Lacrosse. Gavin will also represent Team Ireland once again, this time for the Senior Men’s Team in the European Lacrosse Championship in Poland. “ROC The Eclipse,”a short film by Lucas Sherron ’22 was selected for screening at the Rochester International Film Festival. Congratulations to Jack Clark ’23, who was part of SUNY Cortland’s 1st place 200 Free Relay Team at the SUNYAC-AMCC Championship. Applause for Sienna Hinchcliffe ’23 for setting a new record at The University of Akron with the most goals scored in a single season in the history of the women’s lacrosse program. Chris Leysath ’24 completed his freshman year at Ithaca College as a key member of the Bombers Basketball Team, starting in 29 games and helping lead the team to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
