We are going to miss Mrs. Glenne Miller, DECA Advisor and Marketing, Technology, and AP Psychology Instructor, next year as she leaves Aquinas and embarks to Richmond, Virginia. Miller has been an integral part in facilitating our DECA chapter, and we thank her for all that she has done over the years. “DECA is more than just a club where you learn business lingo, this is a space where you can cultivate relationships, expand your creativity, develop con dence, and give back to your community. DECA students walk away with professional skills that will carry them through all of the hardships and achievements that life can o er. e possibilities are endless with DECA! “AQ DECA has come so far from where we were in 2022. is has been a space where students can discover the impact they have on the world. Students have learned what it means to be a leader in our AQ and Rochester community, all while expanding their knowledge of the business, nance, and marketing world. Members get real life experience and feedback from professionals in their elds of interest and put their creativity, teamwork skills, and work ethic to the test as they create something that they are proud of. “ e dedication of the students and advisors involved has been inspiring! It is rare that you nd an organization that brings together a diverse group of people with a common goal of personal and communal growth...and be fun to boot! I participated in DECA in my high school career and came out with lifelong friends and communication skills that I still use today. It is an honor to watch these students thrive and enjoy DECA to its fullest potential! My wish for all my students is that they leave Aquinas knowing the value they bring with them everywhere they go.”– GLENNE MILLER 35 “With nearly a 75-year history, DECA has impacted the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators and business professionals since it was founded in 1946. Their strong connection with our organization has resonated into a brand that people identify as a remarkable experience in the preparation of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. DECA’s programs and activities have constantly evolved as we use the latest technology and apply cutting edge educational research. Our core focus has remained consistent and is captured in our mission.” - DECA.org The High School Division includes 250,000 members in 5,000 schools across the US and abroad.
