33 At the end of the semester, students concluded their discussions by cra ing their own Vision Boards. A Vision Board is a personalized collage of images and words displayed prominently to serve as a daily reminder of one’s motivations. It typically includes elements that re ect one’s values, goals, dreams, sources of inspiration, and things that evoke happiness. With guidance from the Women’s Leadership Moderators, students engaged in a re ective exercise. ey were presented with a list of values and asked to circle those most signi cant to them. Additionally, they identi ed things that bring them joy. An array of materials, such as magazines, clippings, stickers, and more, were laid out for them. e students selected their items, creating boards that were uniquely tailored to their aspirations and inspirations. Some of the powerful messages they chose to include on their vision boards were: “No risk, no reward.” “Smile more.” “Be kind to yourself.” “Never settle.” Over the course of their discussions, the young women felt empowered and agreed that they had gained con dence to become capable leaders, ready to make a positive impact in the community and beyond. On their last day, the students paid special recognition to the Women’s Leadership Moderators who greeted them daily with happiness, positivity, and unwavering support, ultimately contributing to their increased self-con dence and high spirits. Women’s Leadership fosters a safe, supportive environment where students can unite to learn, evolve, and motivate one another. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, students receive a certi cate and special cord at graduation. Any sophomore women interested in joining Women’s Leadership may reach out to Program Director, Mrs. Julie Melton, or to one of the Women’s Leadership Advisory Committee members.
