SAMUEL RIVELLINO NICKNAME: Sam AQ EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & CLUBS: National Honor Society (NHS) from grades 11-12, Senior Council in grade 12, Ski Club from grades 9-11, and AQ Theatre from grades 7-10. FUTURE COLLEGE PLANS: Fordham University (NYC). FAVORITE SUBJECT(S): History and Spanish. MOST INFLUENTIAL TEACHER: Mr. Shook’s teaching style and amiability make him a great teacher, and one who prepares his students for college. FAVORITE HOBBIES & INTERESTS: Linguistics, botany, coffee, Wikipediaing, maps, travel, and driving. MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AT AQ: Our senior retreat. MOST CHERISHED HIGH SCHOOL TRADITION: Receiving shamrock pins at graduation. FAVORITE PLACE AT AQ: The floor in front of the first row of the auditorium. FAVORITE CAFETERIA LUNCH: Crispitos. FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: The dance concerts. WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT AQ: The thing I’ll miss most at AQ is having passionate conversations in Mr. Shook’s AP Lit class. BEST THING ABOUT SUMMER: Going on walks at 8 p.m. and it’s still bright out; also, warm rainstorms you can sit outside in. IF I COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, I WOULD GO TO: Sichuan is somewhere I would love to travel to. Out of all the food I’ve tried, Sichuanese is the only one that I have consistently enjoyed. I want to travel somewhere different than what I am used to so that I can have new experiences… and what better place than southern China? FUTURE CAREER ASPIRATIONS: I am still undecided as to what I would like to major in, let alone what I want to do with my life. Yet, the idea of becoming a professor or pursuing a similar academic path is appealing to me right now… if I can just figure out what I want my focus to be in. BIGGEST GOAL FOR COLLEGE OR YOUR FUTURE: Picking a country I want to move to where I can have a sustainable income and be happy with my career and lifestyle. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST AT COLLEGE: Living in a new city where I can have new experiences I couldn’t have at home. COLLEGE DORM MUST-HAVE: Assorted candy to randomly give to people. WHEN I GET TO COLLEGE, I HOPE THEY HAVE: “Drinkable” coffee. BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED: Take time for yourself; we all need to do nothing sometimes. ESSENTIAL SENIOR YEAR ADVICE YOU’D LIKE TO GIVE THE AQ CLASS OF 2025: Try to do at least one thing every week you don’t want to or have never done before. GIANNA GLASGOW NICKNAME: Gi AQ EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & CLUBS: Masterminds, Cross Country, Boxing, Stage Crew, Diversity Club, Advanced Choir, Core Team, Student Council, Women’s Leadership, Advancement Internship, Youth Faith Formation, and National Honor Society (NHS). FUTURE COLLEGE PLANS: I’ll be in the Physician Assistant program at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). FAVORITE SUBJECT(S): Science (especially Biology), English, and History. MOST INFLUENTIAL TEACHERS & MENTORS: Mrs. O’Brien, Mr. Shook, Mr. Flood, and Coach Dom. FAVORITE HOBBIES & INTERESTS: Reading, singing, and running. MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AT AQ: Acting in Legally Blonde. I’ve always loved the fine arts, but this show was a completely new experience for me which I really loved. MOST CHERISHED HIGH SCHOOL TRADITION: Senior shirts. FAVORITE PLACE AT AQ: Choir room. FAVORITE CAFETERIA LUNCH: Crispitos. FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: The Mission Bouts are quite meaningful to me because they are the culmination of the growth of myself and my teammates over the past boxing season. It allows us to showcase to the community the outcome of our rigorous boxing training. WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT AQ: Hearing the most random stories from Mrs. Gionta at 8 a.m. BEST THING ABOUT SUMMER: Traveling. IF I COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, I WOULD GO TO: Boston, MA because of its associations with friendship, US history, and memorable moments. FUTURE CAREER ASPIRATIONS: My primary professional goal is to improve the lives of others as a Physician Assistant. ROLE MODEL: My mother; she demonstrates the characteristics I strive to embody, including gracefulness, resilience, selflessness, wisdom, and integrity. She has the most influence on who I am today, and in all that I do, my goal is to make her proud. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST AT COLLEGE: Learning new information in subjects that intrigue me. I was able to shadow a microbiology lecture which piqued my curiosity. I am that much more excited now to further my education. COLLEGE DORM MUST-HAVE: A large fan. WHEN I GET TO COLLEGE, I HOPE THEY HAVE: A kitchen for students. I love cooking because it gives me the opportunity to explore different cultures. BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED: Know thyself. Getting to know who you are allows you to be intentional in your actions, set proper goals, and live a meaningful, happy life. ESSENTIAL SENIOR YEAR ADVICE YOU’D LIKE TO GIVE THE AQ CLASS OF 2025: Find a healthy balance between enjoying yourself and taking things seriously.
