Nation is in honor and memory of Fallen Service Members, Police, Fire ghters, and EMTs. Wiepert is in the ROTC program at Boston College. Matt Apple ’11 is head of Walking for Rochester, a nonpro t organization that focuses solely on picking up litter in the community. Apple and two other founders started the group in late 2020 and have seen exponential growth each year since. Congratulations to John Heveron ’65 and Heveron Company CPA’s for being listed in the Rochester Business Journal for the #1 Small Company to work for in New York. Michael Bell ’88 and M.L. Bell Construction received the award for Best Project in the Healthcare sector at the 23rd Annual Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) Awards ceremony. Bill Arieno ’84 was named Realtor of the Year by the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors. Michael Perotto ’85 is relishing the independence of his children as they explore their own paths and talents. It brings him great joy to see them ourish and to occasionally hear those delightful words, ‘Dad, you were right!’ After serving 20 months in the Marine Corps PLC program and being honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal due to injury, Michael Holmes, MD, PhD ‘68 redirected his focus to academics. This led to graduate school at The University of Maryland, where he earned a PhD after three years. During a Fellowship at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Michael was accepted into medical school at Chicago Med as a third-year student. Michael says his time in the Marines taught him the value of giving more than 100%, a principle he carried into his academic pursuits. Graduating at the top of his class from both graduate and medical schools, he completed a pediatric residency at Cook County Hospital, specializing in Pediatric trauma, followed by an intensive care fellowship. Michael dedicated 40 years to serving the Rochester community and is now enjoying retirement. Keyonna French ’14 married Mike Yeneralo in October 2023. Congratulations to Mrs. Keyonna Yeneralo! Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Milne ’12 who received her doctorate in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from West Virginia University in Spring 2024. Stephen Barber ’55 reminisces on his time at Aquinas stating it was the best part of his younger years. After graduating from AQ, Barber went on to serving in Italy as an Intelligent Agent for the Army before working for several small companies which gave him the opportunity to travel. Through work, he visited all 50 states plus Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, and parts of Europe before retiring in Arizona in 2001. Barber has been married for 58 years, has three children, seven grandchildren, plus seven great grandchildren. He considers himself very blessed. Congratulations to Holly Dutcher (Gendron) ’04 who was honored at the 2024 Rochester Business Journal’s Women of Excellence. Holly serves as the Executive Director of C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association. Congratulations to the founder and CEO of Strategic Logistics & Defense Services, Shanna L Diep ’97, who placed third in the 17th annual ranking of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies WPO. Katie Trepanier (Brasley) ’00 was named Principal Designate at the Exploration Elementary Charter School. Congratulations to David Riedman ’82 on being named to the Rochester Business Journal’s 2024 Power List for Construction & Real Estate. Liz Clark (Johnston) ’95 was listed as a top in uencer in the health care industry for two years in a row in the Washingtonian Magazine. The Livingston County Board of Supervisors recognized former Army Specialist Michael Joseph Malone ’88 as the County’s Veteran of the Month. Malone was also honored for his 25 years of service to the county. Gavin Conlan ’21 represented Team Ireland in the Men’s U20 European Lacrosse Championship in Wroclaw, Poland, this past July, where he played a crucial role in their victory over England to clinch the gold medal! Gavin was also honored with the Best Goalie award of the tournament! Gavin is entering his senior year at Lake Erie College majoring in business administration, minoring in entrepreneurship and coaching. Chris Alan (Jones) ’98 performed his comedy routine at the Comedy at the Carlson in Rochester, featuring a live taping of the performance. Herbie Pilato ’78, awardwinning writer, producer, director, actor, singer, and TV personality, has two new books coming out this fall: One Tough Dame: The Life and Career of Diana Rigg (University Press of Mississippi - September 16, 2024) and Christmas TV Memories: Nostalgic Holiday Favorites of the Small Screen (Applause Books - October 15, 2024). A fantastic accomplishment by Jim Wahl ’65 who ran in the Candle Light 24 Hour Ultra-marathon sponsored by the Greater Rochester Track Club this past July 1314. This marks Jim’s 100th Ultra-marathon (an Ultra-marathon is any race that is typically over 50k), nishing 28th of 50+ starters and clocking 37 miles. Back on June, 4, 2023, Jim celebrated his 76th birthday by nishing his 300th marathon in the Indy Piston Ultra-marathon. As of July 2024, Jim has now completed a grand total of 307 total marathons! 23 Marina Birdie to Adrian ’07 and Amanda Monaco. Abigail to Hannah (Osgood) ’12 and Jamie Dean ’12.
