A er graduating in 2017, Kyle worked at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, served as the PA for the Rochester Lancers, and now currently works for Florida Cancer Specialists, where they treat a variety of blood and cancer conditions. Re ecting on his time at Aquinas, Kyle credits the school with providing him the foundation and core values of serving others, which inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. From a young age, Kyle knew he wanted to help others, and the values instilled at Aquinas further solidi ed this passion. Growing up Catholic, Aquinas also helped deepen his faith and provided him with the discipline needed to pursue further education and experiences, eventually leading to his graduation from PA school and specialization in oncology. Kyle nds working in oncology both challenging and rewarding, and he believes that Aquinas, along with his Catholic values, have prepared him to assist cancer patients in their times of need. MR. GARY MOXLEY ’88 Meritorious Service Gary DeJuan Moxely graduated from Aquinas in 1988. During his time at Aquinas, Gary was an active member of the Basketball team for three years and the Baseball team for one year. A er graduating from Aquinas, Gary served his country in the United States Army until 1991. roughout his military career, he was recognized for outstanding performance and achievements. Gary received his Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Science from Monroe Community College, and then went to St. John Fisher College (now University), where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Economics in 1995. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Keuka College in 2009. Gary began his career with the Rochester Police Department in 1995. roughout his illustrious career he received countless accolades and held several leadership roles, including Sergeant in the tactical unit, Assistant Commander of the RPD SWAT Team, and Captain, which was his rank when he retired in 2016. Upon his retirement, Gary took on the role of Assistant Director of Public Safety for Rochester Institute of Technology, and in 2018 was promoted to his current position of Executive Director of Public Safety. Some of his career highlights include graduating from the FBI National Police Academy in 2012. He also served as Recruit Class Counselor (training recruits at the Police Academy), Counselor/Instructor at the NYS Supervisor School for Law Enforcement Supervisors, President of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Western New York, and developed and implemented the Armed Intruder Program at RIT, as well as creating the curriculum for the Ethics in Criminal Justice Class for Adult Learner at Roberts Wesleyan College. Gary is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He served on the Board of Directors for the Police Athletic League, supervised the RPD partnership with Teen Empowerment, and was a youth football and basketball coach. Additionally, he was a member of the Generation 2 Program, mentoring kids in the Rochester City School District. Since graduating, Gary has remained actively connected to Aquinas. He served on the Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2013, the Aquinas Hall of Fame Committee, and the Basketball Coaching Sta from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, he was a member of the Boys Basketball Coach Hiring Committee, Girls Basketball Coach Hiring Committee, Boys Lacrosse Coach Hiring Committee, Girls Lacrosse Coach Hiring Committee, and the Iris Turner Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee. Gary also contributed to AQ’s Sophomore Mock Interviews, aiding students in mastering e ective interview techniques. Re ecting on his time at Aquinas, Gary shares that AQ taught him there was a vast world of opportunities, and through hard work and dedication, he could achieve anything he set his mind to. Gary’s experience at Aquinas instilled in him a desire to serve others, which inspired him to choose the path he did. Gary married his wife, Ti ani, in 2000, and they have a daughter, Brianne, and a son, Michael. MR. PETE NOTO ’81 Meritorious Service Pete Noto graduated from Aquinas in 1981. During his time at Aquinas, Pete was a dedicated member of the football team for four years, playing two years on varsity and contributing to the rst AQ Section V Championship in 1979. Pete also served on the Student Council, was Senior Class President, and a permanent member of St. omas Club. A er graduating from Aquinas, Pete attended Princeton University where he graduated with an economics degree in 1985. During his collegiate years, he was recruited to play Sprint football and remained a four-year starter, earning four varsity letters, and was selected captain his senior year. Professionally, Pete has excelled in the wealth management industry, becoming a Senior Advisor and Managing Director for the Trident Wealth Management Group. He was named a member of the Forbes Best in NY State Wealth Management teams. Pete’s commitment to Aquinas and the broader community re ects his exemplary character. He has served Aquinas at the Board of Trustees level since 1998, transitioning to the Foundation Board upon its formation in 2004. He has focused on the AQ Endowment which has grown from approximately $2 million to nearly $30 million during his tenure. He co-authored the endowment’s rst Investment Policy Statement and has been actively involved in strategic planning and fundraising initiatives for Aquinas. Beyond Aquinas, Pete is an active member of the Rochester Rotary, a community service organization supporting special needs and underprivileged children in Rochester. He has held numerous leadership positions, including President of the Charitable Trust. Additionally, Pete has volunteered for over 30 years on the Princeton Schools Committee, interviewing prospective students. Being an only child, Pete cherishes the friendships he formed at AQ, considering them his brothers. He credits Aquinas with nurturing his competitive spirit, which drove him to excel academically, athletically, and in his community endeavors. As the grandson of Sicilian immigrants seeking better opportunities for their family, Pete describes Aquinas as a school of opportunity. His father, an AQ alumnus from the class of 1947, was the rst in their family to graduate from college (Notre Dame). Pete believes Aquinas instilled in both him and his father the drive to succeed. He attributes his own achievements in nance and wealth management to the foundation he received at Aquinas and is committed to supporting the school so that other families can experience similar opportunities and help students reach their full potential. Pete married his wife, Mary, in 1990 and they have three children Peter (Rachel), Maria (Austin), and Grace, along with one grandchild currently,
