Chris also hosts a weekly podcast, The Chris Alan Show, which is available on all streaming platforms. In April 2024, Charles Vitale ’98 celebrated 25 years with the City of Rochester at the 9-1-1 center. In addition, he accepted a promotion to 9-1-1 Shift Supervisor on July 1. He then achieved Life Membership with the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials which involved 15 years of service on various committees, curriculum writing and development, as well as other contributions to the 9-1-1 Industry. Anthony Cook ‘99 was promoted to Senior Director, Strategic Relationships at Curriculum Associates. Aquinas Hall of Fame member Arel Gordon ’03 was inducted into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame. Billy Lombardi ’13 was appointed as AQ’s new Head Coach for the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team. Thomas Conroy, PhD ’15 founded the startup, SensVita, a company that develops non-invasive sensors for wearable and furniture-integrated heart and lung monitoring by prioritizing no skin contact and broad application to clinical, at-home, and veterinary monitoring applications. As the first step in this journey, SensVista was selected to participate in the Runway Startup Postdoc Program at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech. Congratulations to Jalen Pickett ’17 for being named NBA G League Player of the Week on November 19, 2024. Pickett’s 26.5 points per game were the sixth-most in the league, while his 10.8 rebounds and nine assists ranked No. 7 and No. 2, respectively, as he led the Grand Rapids Gold to a 3-1 start. A team of Aquinas Alumni took home the championship in a kickball tournament at Rochester Community Sports Complex in July 2024. More than 16 teams of local Rochester alumni at various schools participated in the event, with 22 players on each team competing. Way to go AQ!
