Jessica (Bartle) Petrosino ’03 started a new position – Coordinator of Instructional Services at Genesee Valley BOCES – in November 2022. Pat Duffy ’04 threw out the first pitch at a Rochester Red Wings game in June. Father Anthony J. Amato ’05 was appointed to pastor from parochial administrator at Saint Peter’s in Clifton Springs. Michael Roorda ’05 completed the Ironman in Lake Placid in July to support the Colin F. Kennedy Foundation, which supports scholarships at Aquinas in addition to many other great causes. Patrick Cutter ’07 completed the Chicago Marathon in 2:33:08, his fastest marathon time yet! Marissa (Gionta) Manioci ’08, Rochester Colonial’s Chief Information Officer and Director of Marketing, was honored as a finalist in the prestigious Emerging Technology Woman of the Year award presented by Tech Rochester. Christian Henderson ’11, a Captain in the US Army, began a new assignment in July at the University of Notre Dame where he teaches as part of the ROTC program. Winsom Hudson ’11, a midfielder for Flower City 1872, a new pro women’s soccer team in Rochester, assisted in the team’s first-ever win over the Erie Commanders scoring the winning goal. The final score was 2-1. Chelsea (Piccone) Smith ’11 received Planet’s Customer Success Manager of the Year award. Planet is the largest earth observation satellite network and the leading provider of global daily Earth data. Codi (Battaglia) Mrozek ’12, head varsity girls basketball coach at Webster Schoeder, led her team to a NYSPHSAA Class AA State Championship in the 22-23 season. High school sweethearts Ashley Paris ’12 and Dr. Mark Lawlor ’11 recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary! Ashley works as a speech-language pathologist in the Rochester City School District and Mark works as an orthopedic surgery resident at the University of Rochester. Billy Lombardi ’13 was inducted into the Section V Football Hall of Fame on June 12th. Michael Manley Jr. ’13 is co-owner of Gravesite Maintenance, which helps take care of loved ones’tombstones in the Monroe County Area. Marco Sayers ’14 was recently promoted to Captain in the US Army and was assigned to Kaiserslautern, Germany in March 2023. He will reside there for the next three years with his wife, Christina, and their two-year-old son, Theodore. Bryce Kelly ’16 graduated with honors and with a certificate in Transactional Law from Emory Law School in Atlanta, GA in May. He began his law career at Lowenstein Sandler in NYC this fall. Hali Rockow ’16, owner of Buffalo Bleached, opened a second location at 3 W. Main Street in Webster, NY. You can also shop online at buffalobleached.shop. Luke Schiano ’16 graduated Cum Laude from Villanova Law School this year. He was a member of the Villanova Law Review and was the Student Works Editor. Jalen Pickett ’17 was selected #32 overall in the NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. In the spring he also received the Rochester Press-Radio Club Local Athlete of the Year Award. Patrick Sayers ’17 graduated in 2022 from RIT with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He currently works for Cardinal Health in South Carolina and also works part-time for Rochester start-up, Roc Paper Straws, as an engineering consultant in the manufacturing of paper straws. Kayla Jackson ’18 was named director of women’s basketball operations at St. Bonaventure University. Jake LeBlanc ’18 began a new role at HITT Contracting in Richmond, VA as a project engineer. Kayla Miller ’18 wrote her first children’s book, I Am...Self-Discovery! The book allows children to discover the power of positive words and affirmations to boost their confidence level, and to remind themselves that they will always be enough. Check it out on Amazon! Jacob Schwab ’18 graduated from the New Hampshire State Police Academy. He continues his service in the Vermont Army National Guard as a combat engineer and recently completed his air assault training certification. He has also been promoted to sergeant. Kaycee Viator ’18 graduated from Roberts Wesleyan University in May 2022 where she earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees – one in History (pre-law) and the other in Spanish, with a minor in Psychology. Sam Scherzi ’19 graduated from the Police Academy in Arizona in March. Mary Genrich ’20 spent this past summer with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Ballpark Productions intern. Lenny Perno ’20, who has been playing for the USPHL Premier Generals, has committed to play with the SUNY Potsdam Bears this fall. Nia Williams-Matthews ’20 of Yougstown State took first place in the Horizon League Championships in the triple jump! Alexis Galusha ’22 was inducted into St. Bonaventure University’s chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Only students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout their freshman year are eligible. Abbie Riggins ’22 sang at Honor Flight’s Mission 78 Welcome Home Ceremony in celebration of our veterans in June. She is currently a student at LeMoyne College. 31 Share your good news!
