Aquinas-Landmark-Winter-2021

Dear Aquinas Alumni and Friends, Greetings from your Aquinas Family at 1127 Dewey Avenue! As we approach the start of the new year, I write to you with feelings of sincere gratitude. Our entire Aquinas school community has kept our alumni and friends in our prayers throughout this year and we hope to have been top of your mind as well. It has been a busy start to the school year, where for the second year in a row, we welcomed our students back to full-time, in-person instruction. Our students and families have responded with incredible faith and resolve, adding to our rich Aquinas legacy. For the first time since 2019, our student section returned to the stands, supporting all of our fall and winter teams. It brought me great joy to see our student-athletes, alumni, and families join together at the end of each Friday night home football game to sing our Alma Mater. I am also happy to share that our student body has grown this year. We welcomed our largest 6th grade class in school history – 84 students. Additionally, our overall school enrollment has climbed to 774 students, which is the highest overall total since the 2017-2018 school year. With the return of traditional shadow day visits and the opportunity to host our annual open house, we are excited to build on the interest we’ve seen from our prospective families. Lastly, we are impressed to share some recent alumni career updates with you. Our graduates continuously find ways to make us proud, which is evidenced in multiple medical and dental graduates, as well as alumni attending Yale, Columbia, and MIT for graduate degrees. As we constantly strive to continue our tradition of excellence, Aquinas prepares students to succeed in every facet of his or her adult life. Thank you for continuing to make us AQ PROUD! We look forward to what the new year brings. Aquinas evermore! Dr. Anthony Cook ’99 President P resident ’ s L etter 3
