neighbors loved and cared for each other as family. We grew up in the parish of St Pius X attending grammar school, volunteering in fundraising events, and serving the church as altar boys. The O’Donnell Family consists of seven proud Aquinas graduates spanning two generations. Sisters Mary and Margaret continued their Catholic education at Cardinal Mooney. Patrick ‘77 is currently Chair of the Aquinas Advancement Committee and a member of the Foundation Board and lives in Washington, DC. Thomas ‘79 enjoyed a fulfilling career with Genentech and is a member of the Aquinas Advancement Committee. Joseph Jr. ‘80 is currently President of Greater Living Architecture in Rochester and a member of the Aquinas Facilities Committee. Edward ‘85 served in the US Army for eight years reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is employed at T. Bell Construction in Rochester. Catherine ‘87, was a four-time MVP for women’s soccer at Aquinas who went on to play at the University at Buffalo where she received a BS in Economics. Joseph III ‘09 currently lives in San Diego and is a manager at Schellman and Company. Shea ‘11 is currently a marketing coordinator at Mindex in Rochester. FREDERICK D. BROGNIA, JR. ’84 Athletics During his four-year career at Aquinas, Fred earned a total of ten Varsity letters as a three-sport athlete in hockey, football, and baseball. Fred was recognized for his contributions to all three teams, receiving various awards and titles. In hockey, he was a two-year 2nd Team and two-year 1st TeamAll-Star. As a member of the Li’l Irish football team, he was Section V runner-up and received Super 22 Honorable Mention. In 1984, he was a key member of the Section V Championship baseball team. In addition to these accomplishments, Fred led the Li’l Irish as captain his senior year for all three sports. Fred’s decision to attend Aquinas was influenced by the friendships he established while playing for the Greece Chargers Pop Warner Football team. These friendships included: the Lambert, Battaglia, Toscano, Ferrauilo, and Bleier families. When Aquinas won the 1979 Section V Football Championship, Fred’s decision to attend Aquinas was final. From that point forward, his goal was to play football at Aquinas, which he achieved. The culture and tradition at Aquinas create a special bond that is shared amongst all alumni. This bond is exemplified by the relationships Fred established with peers throughout his four years at Aquinas, which have evolved into long-lasting friendships. His athletic career continued when he chose to attend Brockport College to play hockey. In 1986, Fred began his professional career, when he decided to join the family produce business. JEFFREY J. NUCCITELLI ’90 Athletics Jeff was a four-year varsity hockey player while a student at Aquinas. During his time there, the hockey team had a cumulative record of 65-21-4 and skated to the Section V Championship finals three times. Jeff and his teammates took home the championship in ‘88 and ‘90. The 1989 teamwent undefeated during the regular season for the first time in AQ history with an 18-0 record. As a freshman, Jeff set a Section V record by scoring two goals, three seconds apart. He was selected to the Monroe County HS Hockey 1st TeamDivision I All-Star three out of four years, as well as being selected to the Division I Senior All-Star game in 1990. During his AQ career, he amassed 70 goals and 82 assists for 152 points making him the Aquinas all-time scoring leader. Upon graduation, Jeff placed 11th on the Section V all-time scoring list. For his accomplishments on the ice, he was given the NYSPHSAA Championship Shield for Ice Hockey. Jeff attended Rochester Institute of Technology where he played hockey for the Tigers and majored in manufacturing and operations management. Upon graduation, he worked in sales for the family business, Nationwide Precision Products. In 1999, after the business was acquired, Jeff continued to lead the sales team, which went on to achieve yearly record growth while building newmanufacturing facilities in the United States and China. In 2013, Jeff left the precision machining industry and begin his real estate venture and portfolio. This portfolio included one property that he and his brothers are most proud of, Lakeshore Hockey and Sports Center, where they up grew up playing hockey. DANIEL PINCELLI ’98 Athletics At Aquinas, Dan played varsity football and baseball. He was a first-teamAll- Greater Rochester selection as a quarterback and was also named to 4th team All-State. As a baseball player, Dan was part of Mark Magliocco’s 1997 Sectional Championship teamwhere he played first base. Dan’s athletic career truly peaked at Hartwick College where he started for three and half years at quarterback and, at the time of his graduation, held every passing record. He threw for 116 touchdowns in his career, including 44 in 11 games during his junior year. Dan led his teams to three consecutive berths in the ECAC Northwest title game including a victory over Curry College during his senior season. He was recognized that year as the Empire 8 Player of the Year, the ECAC Northwest Player of the Year, was a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy, and received the prestigious Melberger Award. Because of this, Dan’s jersey hung in the College Football Hall of Fame alongside the Heisman award winner. Dan was also named a John Christopher Hartwick Scholar. He was inducted into Hartwick College’s Hall of Fame in 2008. Dan began his current coaching tenure at Aquinas as the Offensive Coordinator in 2013. That year’s teamwent 13-0, won the NYS 23
